Dr. Robert McAfee (pictured on the left in the following photo), a native Arkansan who received his PhD in Climatology at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, and went on to be a member of former Vice President Al Gore's "The Climate Project" and Governor Mike Beebe's "Arkansas Governor's Commission on Global Warming," says "We have perhaps a decade to really make a difference in halting global warming to a level that will avoid global catastrophe." On January 11, Dr. McAfee gave a presentation here at the monastery. The audience included sisters and many others who wish to make our home a better place. |
