If you are interested in our community, we invite
you to contact us. After the initial contact with the Vocation
Director , you will receive additional information
about our community, and we suggest that you visit with us to
experience first hand the charism and special gifts of the
community. We especially recommend experiencing monastic life
through a "Come and See" weekend. These weekends are flexible and
can be scheduled at your convenience by contacting the Vocation
Director. For a deeper, more intense experience, we also
offer the Observership
Program . Activity in these programs
will provide you the opportunity to meet us and become acquainted
with daily living of the monastic life in community. You will also
participate in discussions with others in discernment and meet
with sisters to learn more about the Benedictine life here at St.
Scholastica Monastery.
After spending time back home in prayer and in
listening to God, you are invited to attend a
"Summer Monastic Experience
" . By participating in prayer,
recreation, dialogue, and work in the monastery, you will learn
about different aspects of our charism.
